Shalva Kipshidze
Chief of Party, Liberia
Shalva Kipshidze currently serves as Chief of Party in Liberia. He brings 13 years of experience in election assistance to IFES and has served as Chief Electoral Data Management advisor to the election commissions of Sierra Leone, Afghanistan and Iraq while working for the UN. Most recently, Kipshidze had been working as Senior Advisor for Voter Registration for IFES in Liberia, where he has provided critical support to the National Elections Commission (NEC).
In addition, he has worked for both IFES and NDI in his native Georgia. On several occasions, Kipshidze worked as a staff member and consultant of IFES in Azerbaijan, European Commission in Lebanon and IOM in Jordan.
Kipshidze holds BA from Tbilisi State University, Georgia, and MA from the Central European University, Prague, Czech Republic as well as MA from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. He is fluent in English, Russian and Georgian.
