The Calendar
ElectionGuide is provided by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), an international nonprofit dedicated to strengthening electoral democracy. Launched in 1998 through a grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), ElectionGuide is the most comprehensive source of verified election information available online.
It provides content on:
- National elections around the world;
- Subnational elections of high interest;
- Political parties and candidates;
- Referenda provisions;
- News on election-related laws and political developments around the world;
- Political institutions and electoral systems;
- Election results and voter turnout.
IFES' F. Clifton White Applied Research Center on Democracy and Elections (ARC) houses the ElectionGuide research team, which gathers the data, analyzes results, writes reports, and maintains the consistency and accuracy of ElectionGuide.
The Digest
The ElectionGuide Digest provides news about democracy assistance research, reports, events, as well as guest expert commentary. It was launched in 2010 by the Consortium on Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) with generous USAID funding as a service to the democracy assistance research and practitioner communities.
The CEPPS partners are the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), the International Republican Institute (IRI), and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI).
