Project In Brief

In order to increase voter awareness and interest in the 2010 elections, IFES produced 12 TV and radio public service announcements (PSAs), as well as posters and leaflets, and sponsored election fairs in several regions. The print and electronic materials encouraged voting and active citizenship, demonstrated voting procedures, and instructed citizens on their rights. The three Election Fairs held in Qurghonteppa, Khujand, and Dushanbe, featured booths for each political party and the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda, allowing representatives to hand out informational material and interact with voters.
