IFES President Richard Soudriette recently returned from a week-long trip to Beijing where he spoke with judges from the Supreme People’s Court about IFES’ judicial reform program in China. IFES conducted two training seminars for judges in Chengdu and Kunming last year covering judicial independence and enforcement. IFES now is hoping to expand the program to other provinces and establish a permanent presence in China
