IFES Briefs Congressional Staff on Elections in Africa

On November 19, IFES’s Regional Director for Africa Almami Cyllah and Deputy Director for Africa Abigail Wilson briefed Congressional staff about elections in Africa.  Attending the briefing were staff from the House of Representatives and the Congressional Research Service. 

Mr. Cyllah, a former election commissioner in Sierra Leone spoke about West Africa, focusing specifically on Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, and Liberia.  Ms. Wilson discussed Kenya, Tanzania, and Madagascar.  Also speaking were representatives from the National Democratic Institute.
