Spreading Democracy Information through Afghan Website

On April 19, 2009, IFES launched http://www.afghanistanvotes.com, the first website of its kind in Afghanistan. Its focus is to provide information about democracy and offer support during elections, beginning with the upcoming election in August, by providing easily accessible facts.

IFES-Afghanistan Launches Elections Website

IFES-Afghanistan, in partnership with local organizations, has launched an independent website that offers election-related information. AfghanistanVotes.com, a complement to the official Independent Elections Commission's website, contains accurate, up-to-date information about the electoral process, political parties, and candidates. A section is devoted to civic education. It will also provide election results. The website is written in English, Dari, and Pashto.
