IFES

Internship Opportunities

The IFES internship program is designed to engage graduate and undergraduate students pursuing a degree in international relations, economics, communications or a related field. The program offers students an insider’s view of the realm of international development. Interns are involved in researching international issues, providing logistical and administrative support on assigned countries/projects and assisting in the process of building democracies. Students who participate in this program develop essential skills that are not attained in the academic world, enabling them to make the transition from student to professional life.

All IFES internships are located in the Washington, DC, office. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate/graduate program or completed their degree within six months of the start of the internship. Internships can be both paid and unpaid and will be labeled as such in the description. If an internship is unpaid then the successful candidate must be participating in a work study or fellowship or receiving course credit.

Applications for employment and consulting are accepted online only. Submissions via fax, email, or mail will not be considered. Only those selected for interviews will be contacted.

IFES is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
