Dec. 4, IFES Celebrates 20 Years! Starting in December, IFES will celebrate its 20th year of supporting the building of democratic societies. The first event of our anniversary year will take place at the Canadian Embassy in Washington on December 4. Canadian Ambassador to the United States Michael Wilson will give the keynote address, "The Role of Canada in Advancing Democracy."

Dec. 5-7, Philippine NGO Network to Attend Mexico Seminar: Two members of Citizens CARE, a network of Philippine nongovernmental organizations focused on electoral reform, will attend the International Seminar on Election Monitoring December 5-7 in Cuautla, Mexico. IFES supports Citizens CARE as the organization conducts voter education and monitors elections.
