Parvinder Singh, Chief of Party, Liberia
Parvinder Singh currently serves as the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) chief of party for Liberia. He brings more than 27 years of managerial, advisory, programmatic and operational experience in electoral-related areas specializing in voter and civil registration and has spent 20 years working in post-conflict situations and emerging democracies. He was also an officer with the Election Commission of India for seven years.
Prior to being named chief of party in Liberia, Singh was the team leader for ERIS in Yemen and was previously IFES chief of party in South Sudan.
He has undertaken numerous assignments and missions in Europe, Asia and Africa with special focus on former Yugoslavian states, Cambodia and East Timor. He planned and implemented the first ever uniform and sustainable civil registry system in Cambodia in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Government of Cambodia and PLAN International. He has worked with the United Nations Electoral Assistance Division, United Nations Development Programme, Asian Development Bank and Transparency International (Maldives).
Singh holds a master’s degree in political science from Vinayaka Missions University, Faculty of Arts and a bachelor's degree in commerce from Moti Lal Nehru College, Delhi University.
