Nicolas Kaczorowski, Country Director, Tunisia
Nicolas Kaczorowski currently serves as the Country Director of the IFES Office in Tunisia. Leading a team of professionals to assist with democratic elections, he brings over a decade of professional experience to the table, most recently through the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR). As head of the elections department, he oversaw all election field operations and advised the ODIHR Director on all issues pertaining to elections. Before that, he worked with the OSCE in Kosovo and the ODIHR in the Balkans, Caucasus and Central Asia.
He has also spent time with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy managing special programs and the United Nations Assistance Mission in East Timor as District Electoral Officer. He started his professional career in multilateral organizations as research assistant at the North American Trade Organization and OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
Kaczorowski holds a master’s degree in European geopolitics and studied political science, international relations and political communication in France, Canada and the United States.
