Uloma Osuala, Deputy Chief of Party, Nigeria
Uloma Osuala currently serves as IFES deputy chief of party in Nigeria. She has over 19 years of professional experience, including thirteen years of democracy building experience working with IFES, where she has held progressively increasing responsibility in both program and financial management. Osuala played an integral role in managing electoral technical assistance to the Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq, Iraq governance and Iraq out-of-country voting projects. Some of Osuala's expertise include training, voter education, gender equality and inclusion.
In addition to her program management roles at IFES, Osuala worked in the international accounting department as a financial analyst for the MENA and Europe and Asia regions, before subsequently serving as senior financial analyst and assistant project accounting manager. Osuala provided financial and administrative support on field assignments for the opening and closing of IFES field offices and conducted financial management trainings in Pakistan, Jordan, Tajikistan, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Kosovo. Prior to joining IFES, Osuala spent seven years in the international banking field, including both the commercial and mortgage banking sectors in Nigeria and the United states.
