Election Guide
Accessing information on national elections has never been easier. The flagship IFES resource, ElectionGuide.org, was begun in 1998 as an innovation of IFES' Research and Communications team. This election calendar covers all national election dates (and profiles the contested seats or referendum issues of each), election results, and voter turnout statistics. Election Guide information is also showcased on CNN.
We provide timely and accurate information on:
- Upcoming elections around the world;
- Political parties and candidates;
- Governmental and electoral structures;
- Key news and issues surrounding an election; and
- Election results and voter turnout.
Election Guide staff also issue the ElectList newsletter, featuring breaking news on election-related laws and political developments around the world. Widely used by academics, journalists, country specialists, and the public, this web resource and its newsletter have been key IFES products since their inception in 1998. Election Guide is currently undergoing a comprehensive redesign that will house all election information in a database searchable by country, election date, and more. We will offer more news and analysis as well, all to be presented in a user-friendly, innovative format.
