IFES Annual Report 2011
2011 began with all eyes on the Middle East and North Africa, and then moved south to watch the creation of South Sudan. Throughout 2011, the world witnessed both full scale revolutions and peaceful political processes where millions cast ballots in pursuit of transparent, inclusive government.
IFES’ 2011 Annual Report traces our involvement in these milestone events and others around the world. From working with persons with disabilities, to empowering women, to leveraging technology to increase trust and participation, IFES understands and shares its experiences in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
IFES believes three key aspects — inclusion, empowerment and transparency – are needed for a sustainable democracy. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we focus on our work in those key areas.
