Building Pakistan's Electoral Infrastructure
In anticipation of elections in late 2007 or early 2008, IFES is working to strengthen the capacity of the Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to establish and maintain a credible computerized voter registry and to conduct an effective public awareness campaign about the voter registry. IFES remains confident that this project will help strengthen the electoral process by equipping the ECP with the skills and knowledge necessary to administer elections and to fully enfranchise Pakistani citizens.
