Bosnia and Herzegovina
The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is involved in electoral assistance in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for the first time in over a decade. On the basis of a new Consortium for Elections and Political Processes Strengthening (CEPPS) Elections and Political Transitions award, in November 2017 CEPPS/IFES conducted an abuse of state resources (ASR) assessment in BiH, which should contribute to improving anti-corruption policy making in the country prior to general elections slated in October 2018. This marks IFES’ second ASR assessment since the publication of its groundbreaking methodology in 2017; the first took place in Georgia in mid-2017. IFES’ work in BiH is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
