Event: Youth-Led Intergenerational Advocacy to Celebrate International Youth Day

Youth event at Guyana with board games

Celebrate International Youth Day (IYD) with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES)!

Tuesday, August 16, 2022, 8:30-10 AM EST

Join IFES for a virtual “talk show” to hear from youth advocates and learn how they leverage intergenerational support for their work. As this year’s IYD theme of Intergenerational Solidarity highlights, relationships with all community actors are integral to sustainable development. This event contributes to the Summit for Democracy Year of Action through the Cohort for Youth Political and Civic Engagement.

The discussion will include a spotlight on advocacy targeting elected leaders through the Inclusive Digital Advocacy Toolkit and will feature strategies and tips for effective advocacy that you can employ in your community to advance youth engagement during the global Year of Action and upcoming Summit for Democracy. And stick around for the audience Q&A!

Note: this event will take place on Zoom; participants must RSVP here to receive log-in details.
