Hondurans will head to the polls on Nov. 28 to elect the President, members of the National Congress and members of the Central American Parliament. These will be the first general elections since the contentious 2017 electoral process, which incited heavy violence and allegations of fraud. The National Electoral Council (Consejo Nacional Electoral, CNE) has had to prepare for a complex electoral process amid a global pandemic and various natural disasters impacting the country.

To help you understand this important process, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) provides facts and figures that include key details of this election.
