Elections in Turkmenistan: 2018 Parliamentary and Local Elections

On March 25, Turkmen citizens will head to the polls for parliamentary and local elections. The previous parliamentary elections, held on December 15, 2013, were the first to take place since the adoption of the 2012 Law on Political Parties that provided a legal framework for the formation of political parties. A total of 16,558 candidates will be contesting the elections.
