IFES Assists Youth “Superchangers” in Kosovo Amplify their Voices

Published

Recent studies have identified the alienation of Kosovo youth from electoral, political and governance processes as a potential threat to the peaceful development of a unified society, and the basis for extremism and potential radicalization of youth by clerics and political interest groups. In light of these findings, IFES implemented a year-long program focused on youth engagement throughout Kosovo to help mitigate some of these issues. These targeted interventions provided opportunities for young people in Kosovo to express and discuss their opinions on issues of importance to them and to better engage with their communities. In support of this effort, IFES partnered with 55 local youth-led organizations around the country to amplify young peoples’ voices in public discourse. Some of these youth “superchangers” share their thoughts in the following video.
