IFES Bids a Fond Farewell to Vice President of Global Growth and Outreach, Catherine Barnes

Catherine Barnes, who has served the International Foundation of Electoral Systems (IFES) as its first Vice President of Global Growth and Outreach, will complete her tenure today, April 7, 2023. In light of her outstanding service to the organization, the IFES Board of Directors has adopted a resolution in her honor. 

The Board of Directors of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) meeting in Arlington, Virginia, United States, on this fourteenth day of March 2023, resolves and hereby expresses its gratitude, satisfaction, and respect for the service rendered by Nancy Catherine Barnes to the mission of the organization. The Board of Directors notes with admiration that Ms. Barnes joined with the specific mission to support the implementation of IFES’s Strategic Plan and accepted the mandate to establish a department for Global Growth and Outreach. Ms. Barnes has established such a department with the highest standards of excellence, and during her time as Vice President, IFES revenue rose 40 percent. Moreover, throughout her time in service to the organization Ms. Barnes conducted herself with the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and dedication, while contributing significantly to the strengthening of electoral integrity and the advancement of democracy in the many countries around the world where IFES works. For this service, the Board of Directors conveys its deep and sincere appreciation.
