Local Elections in Ukraine: Expectations for the Future

On December 10, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) Regional Europe Office will organize an event on “Local Elections in Ukraine: Expectations for the Future.” The event is organized in cooperation with the Central and Eastern European Law Initiative (CEELI) and will bring together interested international and local organizations, academia and the general public to discuss the October/November local elections in Ukraine and their outcome and impact on future democratic development. Several expert speakers on both the Czech and the Ukrainian side will speak about their impressions of the recent elections and the path forward for Ukraine (the Ukrainian speakers will participate via Skype).

The event will be held at Villa Grebovka, Prague 2, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be held in English, with interpretation as needed from Ukrainian to English. Light refreshments will be served.
