Remembering Almami Cyllah

The International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES) is deeply saddened to hear about the passing of former IFES Regional Director for Africa Almami Cyllah.
A native of Sierra Leone, he worked for many years in the field of elections and democracy in Africa. He led IFES projects in Haiti, Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia prior to joining the HQ team as regional director. Cyllah served as regional director for Africa for IFES from 2009 to 2014.
He was a passionate advocate for the promotion of democracy in Africa. We offer our condolences to the Cyllah family and remember him for his dedication to IFES’ mission.
