Alexandra Brown, Legal and Research Officer, Center for Applied Research and Learning
Alexandra Brown is a legal and research officer at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), where she contributes to research and supports programming on legal and regulatory frameworks for elections, election dispute resolution and anti-corruption work.
Prior to joining IFES, she worked as a research associate at the Public International Law and Policy Group where she focused on post-conflict constitution drafting, peace negotiations and transitional justice. She also served as a compliance officer at a humanitarian organization in Jordan and Iraq.
She holds a Juris Doctorate and a master’s degree in international affairs from American University and a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic studies from San Diego State University. She was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 2019.
