Pablo Galarce, Country Director, Northern Triangle
Pablo Galarce is the International Foundation for Electoral Systems’ (IFES) country director for the Northern Triangle. He is an international development professional with over 20 years of extensive technical expertise in designing, managing, implementing and evaluating projects and programs for nonprofit organizations and government-funded cooperating agencies in fragile and post-conflict environments. Previously, Galarce worked with key international organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme, the Organization of American States, Counterpart International, Creative Associates, Democracy International and RTI International. In addition, he served as IFES regional director for the Americas.
He has worked in over 20 countries in three continents building the capacity of election commissions and civil society organizations on organizational and technical issues related to good governance, policy development, planning and implementation of winning strategies.
Galarce earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland University College, a master’s degree in international relations from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in political science (cum laude) from the University of Massachusetts.
