Public Opinion of Democracy Issues in Kosovo: Findings from an IFES August 2012 Survey

From August 17-29, 2012,  IFES partner Index Kosova conducted fieldwork and data processing to determine public opinion in Kosovo. The survey covered a sample size of 1,520 Kosovars and aimed to understand the adult population’s knowledge of key components of the election process; measure awareness on current electoral reform processes; analyze attitudes toward political participation; and measure citizen’s perceptions of the Central Election Commission.

The survey work and subsequent focus groups were completed in early September and the results were used by IFES’ civic education awardees to inform the debate on which key issues to focus their activities on, and on how to define messages that addressed these issues.
