Elections in Serbia: May 6 Presidential, Parliamentary, Provincial and Local Elections
On May 6, Serbian citizens will cast their vote for the next president. Due to President Tadić’s voluntary resignation on April 5, 10 months ahead of the expiration of his term, the presidential election will now take place on the same day as scheduled parliamentary, provincial and local elections.

The purpose of this report is to give a brief analysis of the Law on Political Financing which was published in the “Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” on 14 June 2011. Post-Election Public Opinion in Kosovo 2010: Findings from an IFES January 2010 Survey
The data collected after Kosovo’s first elections since declaring independence offer a unique snapshot of a young country optimistic, yet continuing to struggle with economic issues and divisions between ethnic groups. The 2009 municipal and mayoral elections were widely seen as well organized, free and fair, and voters report proper procedures taking place in polling stations. Still confidence in the power of the vote, while still fairly high, dropped between the 2007 and 2009 elections.
