Presidential Voters Guide (Primary / Caucus Version)
This document, created by the American Association for Retired People (AARP), provides a guide for the 2000 presidential primary elections. The guide focuses on issues that are pertinent to people over the age of 50. These issues include: Social Security, Medicare, long-term care and managed care patient protections. The booklet provides the AARP’s and the individual primary candidates’ stances on these issues in hopes of educating and enabling voters to make the best decision possible with their vote.

Que son los delitos electorales federales y de que manera se sancionan?
“What are the Federal Electoral Crimes and in What Way are they Penalized?” is an electoral law brochure, available in Spanish, published in 2000 by the FEPADE (Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Electoral Crimes) in Mexico, in lead up to the July 2, 2000 Mexican General Election. The brochure identifies the federal election crimes and how they are sanctioned by law.

“We all Have a Dream” is a Christmas card, available in Spanish, sent out in 1999 by Ricardo Lagos, the candidate for the 2000 Presidential election in Chile, and his wife, Luisa Duran, in lead up to the 2000 Presidential Election in Chile. The card talks about the dreams every Chilean citizen has, such as free people, equality and a Great Chile.

Je vais choisir un Senateur en Herbe
“Je vais choisir un Senateur en Herbe” is a guide to candidates and voters, available in French, for a mock election for Senator meant to teach students more about the electoral system in Haiti. The guide, published by the Minister of National Education in April 1999, gives advice to candidates on how to write and deliver speeches as well as providing guidelines to voters on how to choose the appropriate candidate.

This report is a compendium of ideas and practices that might be useful for future Cuban
officials and non-governmental leaders who are beginning a transition to democracy, or who
are contemplating seeking reform of the current regime. The document discusses the minimum international norms and standards for free and fair elections, as well as the legal, constitutional and administrative options that are available to transition authorities.
It
also offers ideas, based on examples from countries around the
world, about what will be needed to establish and support an honest, efficient and transparent system of election administration, and what role the international community might be invited to play in that process.
