From June 13-17, a delegation from Haiti’s Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) participated in an election observation and exchange mission organized by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal of Guatemala around the country’s June 16 general elections. Bougainville Election Commission Launches Strategic Plan
Throughout 2018, IFES advisors guided the Office of the Bougainville Electoral Commissioner in developing and writing its 2018-2022 Strategic Plan. The plan, launched in November, sets out a vision for OBEC to become an independent, competent and transparent electoral body that can organize inclusive, credible elections.

Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Tunisian Election Administration
On March 5, IFES and Tunisia’s High Independent Authority for Elections signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that seeks to consolidate the established cooperation between the two organizations. The MoU defines areas for IFES’ support and sets the framework for future cooperation.
