As part of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems' (IFES) ongoing commitment to adaptation, innovation and resilience in the wake of COVID-19, the United States Election Program (USEP) is going virtual. While the IFES USEP traditionally gathers hundreds of elections experts from dozens of countries to witness the elections in the U.S., the pandemic presents myriad challenges to holding a large, in-person event. Our first priority must be the health and well-being of everyone involved in the program. So, this November, we’re planning to come together to learn and experience the USEP online.

IFES’ reimagined USEP will offer participants from around the world a unique window into the 2020 U.S. elections with engaging virtual programming to include interactive live events, on-demand videos and podcasts featuring fascinating interviews, dynamic debates, critical analysis, shared learning and networking opportunities.

This all-digital, multimedia experience will take place over several days leading up to and including Election Day, November 3. The USEP Virtual Edition should be of interest to democracy and elections practitioners, policymakers and supporters everywhere.
