“My National Assembly” is an informational booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Hagamos Democracia” civic group in Nicaragua and intended to familiarize Nicaraguans with the structure and responsibilities of the legislative power in Nicaragua, the National Assembly. The booklet describes the attributes of the National Assembly and the rights and duties citizens have to participate in the national politics of the country, specifically through the National Assembly. Additionally, the booklet contains the list of deputies in the National Assembly from 1990-1996.

“These six Electoral Ballots will Determine your Future” is a voter brochure, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the Supreme Electoral Council in Nicaragua in lead up to the October 20, 1996 Nicaraguan General Elections. The brochure familiarizes voters with the voting instructions that would ensure a correct expression of citizens’ votes.

“’96 Elections” is a civic supplement edition, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “La Tribuna” newspaper in Nicaragua in lead up to the October 20, 1996 Nicaraguan General Elections and it contains several articles related to the voting process and the upcoming elections. The articles are meant to familiarize Nicaraguan voters with the voting procedures, the way the number of deputies is distributed in the National Assembly, being among the matters addressed. Additionally, a list with the biographies of the candidates is included.

Nicaragua: International Donor Meeting and Needs Assessment Final Report
This report discusses and summarizes the findings from the July 1994 International Donor Meeting and Needs Assessment that IFES participated in Nicaragua.
The conference was intended to bring together all of the international organizations and countries that potentially might donate funds, commodities, and technical assistance to the CSE in preparation for the 1996 elections in Nicaragua.
