The cards present everyday scenarios involving topics and situations such as urban civics, the workplace and youth in South Africa. Those circumstances are also accompanied by discussion questions that frame the topic and scene with in the context of the South African constitution and civil society.

“Instructions for Election Poll Workers” was released by the St. Louis County Election Board in lead up to the August 8, 2006 primary elections. The piece provides information on how to handle voters with disability, electioneers, “challengers,” and injuries as a poll worker. The piece also provides information on what a typical schedule should be for a poll worker and a tutorial on how to use touch screen voting machines.

This “Voter’s Guide” was published for residents of St. Louis City and County, Missouri in lead up to the August 8, 2006 primary election. The piece provides key dates and times, such as the day absentee voting opens, for the upcoming election and provides candidate profiles for all of the upcoming positions as well as the two ballot issues that will be featured in the election.

“Guide: Step by Step” is an electoral handbook, available in Spanish, issued in 2006 by the Supreme Electoral Council in Nicaragua in lead up to the November 5, 2006 Nicaraguan General Elections. The handbook is supposed to instruct the polling station officials about their responsibilities before and during the elections and to serve as guidance through the voting procedures. Additionally, the guide contains examples of the documents needed by the polling station officials when following the required voting procedures.
