The 1990 Bulgarian Elections: A Pre-Election Assessment, May 1990
This report summarizes the findings of an IFES pre-election assessment team in Bulgaria from April, 1990. The document reports on meetings with the Central Election Commission, leaders and representatives of political parties and leading citizens groups. It also discussed the role of political parties in the campaign and in the election.

Iraqi Out-of-Country Voting in Washington
Out-of-country voting for the Iraqi election began on March 5, 2010 in 16 countries around the world. The Iraqi ambassador to the U.S., Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN)—an IFES board member, and IFES President and CEO Bill Sweeney visited the polling station in Washington, DC. It is estimated that at least 2,500 Iraqis will vote at the DC polling station.
