This 1989 report on elections in China summarizes the various Chinese political institutions, the contemporary political scene, pre-election observations and the role and structure of major political parties and special interest groups and the voting procedure. The report concludes with a documentation of the results of the election. The report also includes an organigram of the Chinese political structure and several drawings of the voting process.

“General Statutes: Citizens’ Participation” is an informational brochure, available in Spanish, believed to be issued in 1997 by the “Citizen Participation” movement in the Dominican Republic. The brochure describes the general ordinances for membership and internal activities of the civic movement organization called “Citizen Participation.” The brochure is comprised of six chapters indicating the goals, membership, structure and general dispositions of the organization, followed by a lay out of the declaration of principles that stand at the organization’s foundation of functioning.

““Citizen Participation”: Newsletter March 1998” is an informative periodical, available in Spanish, issued in March of 1998 by the “Citizen Participation” movement in the Dominican Republic. One of the articles addresses the topic of youth participation in the electoral observation and the importance of involving them into the electoral process.

“Report about the Observation before the Congressional and Municipal Elections of May 16, 1998” is an informative report, available in Spanish, issued in 1998 by “Citizen Participation” in the Dominican Republic, in lead up to the May 16, 1998 Congressional and Municipal Elections in the Dominican Republic. The document reports on electoral observation efforts, previous to the elections, on part of the civic education movement organization “Citizen Participation.” Additionally, the report contains some tables showing the total expenditure of political parties for political publicity on TV and radio.

“General Rules of Procedure; Electoral Regulations” is an informational booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1999 by the “Citizen Participation” movement in the Dominican Republic. The booklet identifies the general rules within the civic movement organization called “Citizen Participation.” The booklet names the conditions of becoming a member of the civic movement organization, the rights of the institutions within the organization, explains and describes the main institutional components of the organization. Moreover, it lays out the attributes one must meet in order to be elected as a member for the institutional units of the organization.

“The Waterfall: a Manual of Proceedings” is a training manual, available in Spanish, issued in 1999 by the civic movement organization, “Citizen Participation”, in lead up to the 2000 Presidential Election in the Dominican Republic. The manual identifies the training methodologies for electoral observation, explaining step by step the operational device of an effective and efficient electoral observation process.

“How to Vote in the May 2000 Presidential Election” is an informative handbook, available in Spanish, issued in 2000 by Vianela Diaz from the civic education movement organization “Citizen Participation” in lead up to the 2000 Presidential Election in the Dominican Republic. The handbook is meant to help voluntary observers to understand the practices of vote casting. The documents starts off with a description of the history of elections in the Dominican Republic and its importance, an explanation of the 1994 electoral reform and lastly, a description of the voting procedures on the day of the elections.
