Representation in the Federal Parliament
“Representation in the Federal Parliament” is a Canadian booklet that was published in 1986, an off year for federal elections. The booklet’s object was to describe the “principal of representation” and how the “electoral districts' boundaries are determined and periodically adjusted.” The literature is broken into two sections, the first section discusses the various adjustments to the representation of the ten provinces and two territories of Canada; the second section describes the readjustment process of the electoral districts' boundaries. There are French and English language versions of the booklet.

Faites votre histoire en Theatre!
“Faites votre histoire en Theatre!” is a pamphlet from 1991, available in French, made in joint production by the National Assembly, the Director General of Elections in Quebec and the Minister of Education in Quebec, that provides plans for theatre activities to celebrate the 200 year anniversary of the Parliamentary Institutions in Quebec, coming up in 1992. The pamphlet is aimed at middle and high school students in the hope that this ‘historic theatre’ activity will raise awareness of the government system in Quebec.

“Nouvelle liste electorale: Du 5 au 10 septmbre, c'est le recensement” is a flyer in French, published by the Director General of Elections in Quebec in 1992, which warns the public of a revision to the voter list happening in September 1992. Election officials will go door to door in order to register eligible citizens to the new list so they may vote in the upcoming 1992 Referendum Vote and Municipal Elections in Quebec, Canada.

Through comics, the brochure explains what it means to have the separation of the Legislative, Executive and Judicial powers in Paraguay and its effect on the Paraguayan people.

“For the YES or for the NO” is a civic education comic brochure, available in Spanish, issued in 1992 by the “Decidamos” group in Paraguay in lead up to the 1992 Constitutional Referendum. The brochure explains the concept of holding a Referendum and its implications for the decision-making process of issues that affect the civil society. The brochure is meant to familiarize voters with the introduction of the Referendum to the Paraguayan electoral system.

“Electoral Questions” is a civic education handbook, available in Spanish, issued in 1992 by the “Decidamos” group in Paraguay and intended to familiarize Paraguayans with the provisions of the 1992 Constitution, that explains and describes the democratic institutions and the public offices, as well as it explains the role of elections, the qualifications to vote of any Paraguayan elector, the qualifications to run for a public office. Additionally, it lists the attributes of the main public offices in the country and lists the advantages that come along with an active civic participation.

“The Contest” is a civic education game description, available in Spanish, issued in Paraguay by the “Decidamos” group. The game’s objective is to stimulate understanding among the Paraguayan youth of some of the rights granted by the 1992 Constitution. The game contains 32 cards that present a situation and the number of the article that corresponds to the respective situation and a commentary, as well as 48 cards that present a right granted by the 1992 Constitution.
