Strengthening the Local Electoral Process December 2002 Local Elections. IFES Final Report
This report summarizes IFES involvement in Benin’s 2002 local elections. The 2002 elections served as a precursor to the 2003 legislative and 2006 presidential elections. The report discusses IFES’ implementation of a two-phase voter education campaign attempting to bolster transparency and voter confidence throughout Benin. Distribution of Parliamentary Seats for the 2009 Elections by Electoral District
Under the existing Electoral Code (Article 72), the number of seats contested for the 2009 Tunisian parliamentary elections was determined using a formula based on population data. There is one seat in parliament for every 48,700 of population (i.e. 214 seats in total).

Le projet Amatora Mu Mahoro, fruit d’un effort conjoint de plus d’une dizaine organisations nationales et internationales1, identifie les zones vulnérables à la violence électorale ainsi que les initiatives de paix à travers le pays. Le projet vise à soutenir des réponses appropriées et à promouvoir la tenue pacifique des élections de 2010 au Burundi. Amatora Mu Mahoro se déroulera jusqu’à la fin du mois de Septembre, au terme du cycle électoral en cours au Burundi.
