The 1990 Bulgarian Elections: A Pre-Election Assessment, May 1990
This report summarizes the findings of an IFES pre-election assessment team in Bulgaria from April, 1990. Brazil 1994 Election: Technology Assessment Report, February 28, 1995
This Election Technology Assessment from the 1994 elections in Brazil details IFES’ audit of the vote tabulation software used in Brazilian elections. The report focuses on the technological innovations in Brazilian electoral administration, the future direction of its modernization, and the applicability of the concepts and technologies involved to election administration in other countries.
Specifically,
IFES conducted studies on the Brazilian development of a cost-effective indigenous election technology which could be applied to other developing countries.
