1984 Voters and Candidates Pamphlet
Issued by Washington Secretary of State Ralph Munro, the “Voters and Candidates Pamphlet” provides federal and local candidate information, a voter checklist, campaign contribution regulations, and absentee ballot information for the November 6th, 1984 state general election. This pamphlet outlines three state measures complete with full text of proposed and existing legislature, statements for and against, rebuttal statement, and full explanations as well as brief biographies of both federal and local candidates. Ronald Reagan and George H. Bush make up the Republican Presidential and Vice Presidential ticket while the Democratic challengers are Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro, respectively.

Guarding your eligibility
“Guarding Your Eligibility” is a voter pamphlet, issued in 1984 by the Oklahoma State Election Board, in lead up to the 1984 Primary, Runoff Primary and General Elections and intended to inform Oklahoma voters about the voting registration procedures. Additionally, it contains brief explanations about how a ballot must be marked in order to be valid and who can provide assistance if questions are raised.

Wyoming Election Guidelines
The August 1984 “Wyoming Election Guidelines” prepared by Wyoming Secretary of State Thyra Thompson begins by specifically addressing procedures for absentee registration and voting in health care facilities to ensure equal voting opportunities. The “Guidelines” proceed to address military and overseas voters as well as general absentee voting issues. Explicit circumstances such as regulations of campaign nomination, dual office holding, candidate withdrawals, and write-in and independent candidates are included alongside basic voter registration information to further educate Wyoming residents.
