Regional Director on “The Elections We Want” in Africa
As part of its annual report, the Wilson Center Africa Program asked IFES Regional Director for Africa Rushdi Nackerdien to contribute an essay on recent African elections. His piece, “The Elections We Want,” covered 2017 elections in Angola, Rwanda, Liberia, Senegal, the Gambia, and Kenya, and their implications for election practitioners moving forward.

Electoral Code Working Group, Bosnia and Herzegovina Activity Compendium, January - March, 1996
This report summarizes the process, conclusions and recommendations of the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Electoral Code Working Group (ECWG), which took place from January to March, 1996. The document discusses the legality of elections in BiH, the elements of citizenship and voting issues following the Dayton Peace Agreement. The document includes a report entitled Law on Elections: A Technical Analysis, which provides commentary on electoral laws in BiH. Lastly, a Voter Education Plan for Pre-Election Activities is included in the end of the report.

Chad Pre-Election Assessment Report: Multi-Donor Support Program for the Electoral Process
This report summarizes IFES observations from Chad in 1994. At the time, the Chadian government reached out to the international community for help in democratizing the nation. This report documents the transitional period to democracy, analyzes the political situation and provides political indicators gauging the Independent National Electoral Commission, political parties, civic education and civil service. The report concludes with recommendations for democratization in Chad.
