Advocacy Success for Disability-Inclusive Responses to COVID-19 in Southeast Asia
Persons with disabilities face additional risks of contracting COVID-19, of having inadequate access to health care and of lacking a voice in decision-making. IFES is supporting disabled people’s organizations in Southeast Asia to conduct advocacy to hold governments accountable during the pandemic.

This report is a compendium of ideas and practices that might be useful for future Cuban officials and non-governmental leaders who are beginning a transition to democracy, or who are contemplating seeking reform of the current regime. The document discusses the minimum international norms and standards for free and fair elections, as well as the legal, constitutional and administrative options that are available to transition authorities.
It
also offers ideas, based on examples from countries around the world, about what will be needed to establish and support an honest, efficient and transparent system of election administration, and what role the international community might be invited to play in that process.

The First Legislative Council Elections of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region: 1998 Election Special
In preparation for the May 24th, 1998 First Legislative Council Elections, the Information Services Department from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, prepared this “1998 Election Special.” This document includes brief biographies and a picture of each candidate running for office, information on the voting structure, system, procedures, and other general election education as well as important dates in the election process. The slogan “fair, open, honest” is repeatedly used throughout the document.
