Ballot used for the Vice-Presidential election held in Paraguay on 13 August 2000. The election was held after the murder of previous Paraguayan Vice-President Luis Maria ARGANA to complete his term. The main candidates in the electino were Julio Cesar FRANCO and Felix AGANA.

La Commune en questions…
“La Commune en questions…” is a pamphlet, available in French, intended to instruct youth in the importance of Communes in the wake of the upcoming Municipal Election of 2000 in Mali. The pamphlet, published in the year 2000 by the Mission of Decentralization, is split up into different chapters covering topics such as how communes are organized, who works in communes, how representatives of communes are chosen and what youth can do in communes. Each chapter ends with a citation from a legal text which covers issues of decentralization.

“The Paraguayan Democracy is in your Hands” is an electoral flyer, available in Spanish, issued in 2000 by IFES and the Superior Tribunal of Electoral Justice in Paraguay in lead up to the August 13, 2000 Paraguayan Vice-presidential Election. The flyer is meant to stimulate voters to get informed on the duties performed by the Vice-President and to motivate them to exercise their right to vote on the day of the elections.
