Democracy and Voter Education Initiative
The “Democracy and Voter Education Initiative” published in 1994 by the Institute for Contextual Theology covers topics such as forms of state, electoral systems and democracy. The impetus for the “Initiative” was to educated people in South Africa on political participation in the democratic system and the concept of the vote.

Draft Constitution Selected Provisions
“The Draft Constitution Selected Provisions,” is a booklet published in 1994 that describes what the new constitution of Uganda specifies. Detailed in the booklet are topics such as how citizenship in Uganda is defined and what the function of the new constitutional assembly will be. Also included is a description of the five year referendum cycle that will use the vote to decide the form of government in Uganda every five years.

Discussion note cards
This series of 12 note cards, published in 2007 in South Africa, were designed to facilitate discussion based workshops. The cards present everyday scenarios involving topics and situations such as urban civics, the workplace and youth in South Africa. Those circumstances are also accompanied by discussion questions that frame the topic and scene with in the context of the South African constitution and civil society.

Candidates Meetings/ Candidates Campaigns
"Candidates Meetings/ Candidates Campaigns" is a pamphlet published in 1994 during the lead up to Uganda’s constitutional assembly election of that year. The pamphlet discusses the candidates' meetings and the voting process. The candidates' meetings are highlighted as a time voters can gain knowledge on candidates and by doing so make an more informed decision with their vote. The voting and voter registration processes were also covered to aid voters in the process.

“Christians and Democracy” is comprised of 12 Bible Studies from Angola, adopted for use in South Africa and was published in January of 1994 by Diakonia for the Natal Churches campaign, “Educate for Democracy.” Real life stories, bible excerpts, and reflection questions accompany these 12 studies and are provided in the belief that the Church and Christians have an important role in building democracy in South Africa.
