Cidadaos e Politica Quem deve governar?
“People and Politics: Who Should Govern?” is a civic education discussion book, issued in 1992 by the US Kettering Foundation and translated and adapted to Portuguese by the State University of Ponta Grossa, Brazil. The handbook is intended to educate voters about the importance of voting and express their opinions through the power of one vote. The handbook explores four options with a series of opinions on how to tighten the relationship between politics and the people. Additionally, in the beginning and the end of the book, there are some questionnaires provided to facilitate the understanding of the people’s overall opinion of their relation with the government.

America is Counting on You, Class of '92
Fall in Class of ’92 was published in 1992 and provides first time, and veteran Floridian voters, with information related to voter registration, absentee voting, selecting a party, and the importance of voting. Also included are sections that indicate the hours of operation for voting stations in Florida. The piece was released in the lead up to the November 3, 1992 presidential election, between Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, and local elections in Florida.

“We do Not Want to be Apolitical” is an article, originally available in Russian and translated into English, written in 1996 by Natalya Vorobtsova, Aliya Rustemova in the “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda” newspaper in Kazakhstan and which briefly describes a political science game organized by Gulnara Kanapievna in Kazakhstan. The article also touches on the importance of having young people actively participate and understand the political life of the country.

This is the November 1996 edition of “You Be the Judge,” a local publication from Chicago, Illinois. Young Texas Voters
“Young Texas Voters” is a voter handbook issued in 1996, available in both English and Spanish, by the Election Division of the Office of the Texas Secretary of State, in lead up to the November 5, 1996 General Election. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, the voter registration process, and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. Additionally, it contains an Election Calendar with the most important dates of the November 5, 1996 General Election in Texas.

El Concurso
“The Contest” is a civic education game description, available in Spanish, issued in Paraguay by the “Decidamos” group. The game’s objective is to stimulate understanding among the Paraguayan youth of some of the rights granted by the 1992 Constitution. The game contains 32 cards that present a situation and the number of the article that corresponds to the respective situation and a commentary, as well as 48 cards that present a right granted by the 1992 Constitution.

Votosaurus Casts a Ballot
On April 26th, 1991 Voters of Tomorrow through Education published an official ballot entitled “Votasaurus Casts a Ballot” featuring two dinosaur candidates in order to simplify voting instructions. This ballot appeared in Travis County, Texas and provides both English and Spanish instructions.
