“Early Voting in Texas” is a voter handbook published in 1994, available in both English and Spanish, by the Elections Division of the Office of the Texas Secretary of State, in lead up to the 1994 Elections in Texas. The guide is meant to provide qualified voters with information about the early voting procedures, such as the time when early voting is conducted, the eligibility of the people who qualify for early voting and other information related to the early voting practices.

This series of 12 note cards, published in 2007 in South Africa, were designed to facilitate discussion based workshops. The cards present everyday scenarios involving topics and situations such as urban civics, the workplace and youth in South Africa. Those circumstances are also accompanied by discussion questions that frame the topic and scene with in the context of the South African constitution and civil society.

Importancia do voto da mulher
“The Importance of Women’s Vote” is an informative brochure, available in both Portuguese and Creole, published in 1999 by the NGO “PROMOCONSULT” in Guinea-Bissau, in lead up to the November, 1999 General Election in Guinea-Bissau. The guide is specifically meant to encourage women’s participation in the elections and to educate them on the importance of voting and freedom to choose that comes with it. The guide is comprised of cartoons and short dialogues between several women at a local gathering.

A Non Partisan Guide to Voting
“A Non-Partisan Guide to Voting” compiled by the United Cerebral Palsy Associations in January of 1996, encourages voter registration amongst all Americans but primarily focuses on the disabled. This pamphlet provides necessary information on the 1996 Congressional Primaries as well as the positive impact the National Voter Registration Act, or “Motor Voter” has had on voter registration. The objective of this pamphlet is to emphasize the importance of voter registration and to provide services to ensure those who are disabled can also register.

Accessible Facilities: How to Make Voting More Accessible
“Accessible Facilities: How to Make Voting more Accessible” is a guide from 1996, available in a French and English copy, meant to help election officials make the polling sites more accessible to handicapped voters so they may vote in the upcoming Federal Elections. The document, published by Elections Canada, gives advice on how to make the sites more accessible by setting up ramps, special parking and adapted doors and entrances. The document includes diagrams.

The Power of your vote
“The Power of your vote” was published in 1999 on the eve of the South African national elections. This Independent Electoral Commission publication urged the South African electorate to continue strengthening the democratic process by voting. Graphic illustrations, including comic strips, were used to augment voter efficacy and overall democratic awearness.
