Regional Director on “The Elections We Want” in Africa
As part of its annual report, the Wilson Center Africa Program asked IFES Regional Director for Africa Rushdi Nackerdien to contribute an essay on recent African elections. His piece, “The Elections We Want,” covered 2017 elections in Angola, Rwanda, Liberia, Senegal, the Gambia, and Kenya, and their implications for election practitioners moving forward.

IFES Supports Liberia's 2014 Voter Registration Update
In the first quarter of 2011, the National Elections Commission (NEC) – with IFES support – conducted a nationwide voter registration drive to compile a voter register that was used for the 2011 referendum and all subsequent elections.

“First Show of Automated Electoral Systems” is a program schedule, available in Spanish, issued in 1997 by the National Electoral Council in Venezuela. The document lists the hours and events to take place on September 15/16/17, 1997 in regards with the introduction of an automated electoral system.

Venezuela Election Technology Assessment
This report describes the use of the automated vote-counting technology introduced in Venezuela for the December 1995 elections. Additionally, the report analyzes the electoral results and the various electoral systems and organizations involved. Lastly, the report reviews voter registration, the political parties represented and the electoral system.
