CEDAW Anniversary: Making Women's Equality a Reality in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Although the constitution of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) makes provisions for parity between men and women with a view to fair and equitable participation in the management of the city (Mbuji-Mayi), this participation remains only theoretical, despite the country’s ratification of treaties on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women. Elections in Serbia: May 6 Presidential, Parliamentary, Provincial and Local Elections
On May 6, Serbian citizens will cast their vote for the next president. Due to President Tadić’s voluntary resignation on April 5, 10 months ahead of the expiration of his term, the presidential election will now take place on the same day as scheduled parliamentary, provincial and local elections.
