Droits et Promotion de la Femme
“Droits et Promotion de la Femme” is a pamphlet from 1996, available in French, which seeks to explain why women in the Democratic Republic of Congo have been discriminated against and gives possible solutions in order to give women more rights and better their position in society and the economy. The document is published by a Christian group called l’Epiphanie and also touches on women’s place in the Church and spiritual solutions to the problem. Overall, the pamphlet makes the point that as democracy becomes important in Africa, countries should try and increase women’s rights in order to hold true to the values of democracy.

CEDAW Anniversary: Making Women's Equality a Reality in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Although the constitution of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) makes provisions for parity between men and women with a view to fair and equitable participation in the management of the city (Mbuji-Mayi), this participation remains only theoretical, despite the country’s ratification of treaties on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women. Kosovo Taking Steps Toward Gender Equality in Election Administration
The issue of low representation of women among Kosovo's election staff was raised for the first time in March 2014 in IFES' report on gender breakdown of election staff in the 2013 municipal elections. A series of advocacy efforts was carried out to raiss awareness of the benefits of gender diversity in election staff and to encourage the nomination of more women to these positions.

A new study from the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) focuses on the different practices that electoral management bodies (EMBs) have implemented on the African continent to include traditionally underrepresented voters, such as women and persons with disabilities.
