El Mandato Nacional de los Ninos por la Paz
“Children’s National Mandate for Peace” is the resume of a youth participation work booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the National Registrar of Civil Status, in Colombia. The informational workbook is intended to guide youth towards becoming conscientious and responsible citizens in a democratic society. The workbook puts a great emphasis on the importance of rights and the need for young people to grow up in the spirit of respecting each other’s rights as a prerequisite for the existence of a peaceful and democratic society in Colombia.

Regional Director on “The Elections We Want” in Africa
As part of its annual report, the Wilson Center Africa Program asked IFES Regional Director for Africa Rushdi Nackerdien to contribute an essay on recent African elections.
