Collection of Voter Education Materials from South Africa: Flyers, Posters, Instructions, etc.
This document contains a collection of posters, flyers and civic education literature pertaining to the 1994 national elections in South Africa. Included are posters with the exact date of the election and pamphlets depicting the voting and registration process. The material was part of an effort made to provide voter education to the large swath of the South African population who had been denied voting rights until this time.

You Your Vote and the Elections
“You Your Vote and the Elections” was published in 1994 in the lead up to the first elections in South Africa to have universal adult suffrage. The booklet, published by Black Slash and the Independent Forum for Electoral Education (IFEE), describes the structure of the new South African parliament and constitutional assembly, as well as, who can vote and how the process of voting works. The booklet was aimed at filling the knowledge gap that existed around the electoral process as a significant portion of South African’s had previously been denied voting rights.

This report concentrates on three issues relating to the current (circa 2000) situation of the Election Commission of Nepal: 1. Progress in establishing the district election offices which form a central part of the Commission's Five Year Development Plan. 2. Voter registration and the development of a sustainable system for the voter identity cards now being issued and 3. the effectiveness of the Election Code of Conduct and possible revisions to the code.

Bangladesh Pre-Election Technical Assessment (January-February 1995) for the Sixth Parliamentary Elections projected for Winter 1995-96
This 1995 report evaluates Bangladesh's administrative systems for the delivery of electoral services such as constituency delimitation, voter identification and registration, balloting and election administration, poll worker training, vote tabulation, voter education, campaign practices, and media and civic participation prior to parliamentary elections. The report continues by identifying feasible areas for short-term technical assistance in anticipation of the parliamentary elections and provides a framework for public and private-funded assistance projects. Lastly, the report recommends longer term improvements to Bangladesh's election process as well as concrete actions which could be taken by USAlD and the NGO community in strengthening democratic institutions.
