AAEA Observation Mission Report: Cambodian Elections, July 1998
This report summarizes IFES findings from the July 1998 Cambodian elections. The report provides a background of IFES activities in Cambodia, and, more prudently, IFES’ objective to strengthen the electoral process in Cambodia through objective observation and reporting on the election. The report concludes with recommendations for future elections in Cambodia.

Cambodia Electoral Assistance Project 1996-98 Final Report
This report discusses IFES’ efforts working with the Cambodian Government to strengthen and improve the electoral framework in preparation for the July 1998 parliamentary elections. IFES provided on-site technical expertise and drafted election laws and regulations, prepared an election calendar and budget, designed a voter registration system, initiated recruiting and training programs for election officials and pollworkers and procured and distributed election supplies and equipment.

Disability Inclusion in the Voter Registration Processes
IFES’ General Election Network for Disability Access program has worked with the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization to provide Cambodia's election commission with evidence-based recommendations on how to address the rights of persons with disabilities in the country’s voter registration process.

Around the world, persons with disabilities face immense challenges to exercising their political and human rights, particularly in new and emerging democracies like Myanmar. According to the country’s 2014 census, 2.3 million Myanmar citizens have a disability, but the World Health Organization and many international experts estimate that figure to be significantly higher.

Women’s Election and Leadership Training Program
The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) has implemented the Women’s Election and Leadership Program in several countries to develop the capacity of women to participate in the election process as election officials and to develop leadership skills among women. These programs provide a blend of technical knowledge and soft skills to enable trainees to effectively use the knowledge and skills gained in electoral roles.
