Photo Gallery: Pacific Women with Disabilities Empowered to Advocate with Government Officials
IFES partnered with the Pacific Disability Forum to train 15 women with a diverse range of disabilities in September 2019 as part of the “Power to Persuade” program. The training enhanced participants’ public speaking and advocacy skills and provided a platform to share their work, highlight best practices and discuss lessons learned.

Kosovo Taking Steps Toward Gender Equality in Election Administration
The issue of low representation of women among Kosovo's election staff was raised for the first time in March 2014 in IFES' report on gender breakdown of election staff in the 2013 municipal elections. A series of advocacy efforts was carried out to raiss awareness of the benefits of gender diversity in election staff and to encourage the nomination of more women to these positions.

IFES Conducts Comprehensive Gender Analysis in Kosovo
Being employed as a polling official is recognized as a critical part of women’s participation in political and electoral processes. In March 2014, IFES analyzed the gender composition of election management bodies at the municipal and precinct level during the 2013 Local Government Elections in Kosovo.

IFES SUDAN Election Administration Support Program
IFES has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by USAID to support the electoral process in Sudan. The three-year program is aimed at helping the Sudanese electoral administration deliver technically sound and credible elections called for in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

In August 2008, IFES, through the support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), fielded a team of experts to carry out a baseline study of civic and voter education in Sudan as a resource to the Canadian government and to the wider Electoral Donors Group (EDG) in Sudan.

Constitutional Framework for Provisional Self-Government in Kosovo
Written by Kosovo and international legal experts and signed on May 16th, 2001 by United Nations Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Chief Hans Haekkerup, “Constitutional Framework for Provisional Self-Government in Kosovo” outlines the structure of government in Kosovo after the November 17th, 2001 general elections. It details institutions soon to be under the control of Kosovo’s leaders and civil servants and includes basic voting information in an effort to further educate the public.
